3 questions/observations:
1. It seems to come down to how popular someone's work is, or how 'new' it is considered, such as Roy Lichtenstein's work.
2. Art is way too subjective too judge the subtleties of what's fair and creative.
3. Maybe artists using little effort but making ridiculous amounts of money should pay the original artist as a sort of tribute payment. Robert Prince comes to mind.
